After five years of waiting, Metallica has released their next studio album, and the wait was worth it. Death Magnetic features tracks that mark a return to Metallica's earlier sound, heavy guitar riffs and angry drumming. While a bitter taste lingers from Hetfield's vocals still sounding very much like the much maligned Load/Reload/St. Anger era, it works well enough that you'll be able to enjoy the tracks for what they are. This album also marks a return to having an instrumental track, which was common-place up until the Black album. This album also features better defined bass and guitar tracks and solos. This is definitely worth a download, whether you are die-hard member of the Metal-Milita, or a casual fan of Metallica.
